Window Sills & Our Perception of Them

Windows are normally considered simply something that a house has and especially in Pakistan they hold not much importance & they go unnoticed in our regular lives. Then again, with a nit of innovativeness, you can transform your window ledge into a chic yet useful bit of furniture through some straightforward inner design diva! Most interior designfirms in Lahore will also have some pretty innovative and amazing ideas for those windows sills.

By building a rectangular box underneath a window ledge with enough space, you can then add trim and paint to match the shade of your cushions. Next to do, is to purchase a pad that fits to the edge of the ledge, assuming that you are all the more inventive, you can make the pad yourself. Interior design firms in Lahore mostly have these readymade cushions, you just need to find the one that suits your purpose and style.
Not just would you be able to transform the window ledge territory into an agreeable couch sort seat, you can even include extra utility by having a space underneath it, or even utilize it as a toy midsection for kids.

Now the point to note is that while have your home re-constructed or having your home redecorated you can have these built with materials like cement or wood. Now in Pakistan mostly concrete/cement is used for this purpose which makes it extra strong, so no matter how many people squeeze in it won’t break. For the wood, keeping in mind the kids and the family visits wood will not be a suitable material. Even if you are having your home constructed by any architectural firm in Pakistan you can simply request them to add this to the overall home design. These window sills are the perfect ledges to have a cup of coffee on winter mornings, for reading books, for just simply spending time thinking and writing. They also serve as an in-formal place where family can gather on mats, love seats and other odd bits of furniture. We recommend you have a meeting with an interior designer and see where exactly you can have these implemented.

Lamps, Tables & Arrangements – An Overview by Interior Designer in Lahore

This article is all about arranging lamps and tables to form a perfect arrangement at your home. What most people in Pakistan do is have beautiful lamps and then they mix and match them with the wrong colors, rooms and tables. This article will be educating you on all those lamps and tables that need matching up. You first start with the ambience of your place or room, see what room it is and how much of light would it need. If it’s your lounge then you need to see how many windows the room has and what time of the day/night would you be needing the lights. Once that is decided you need to see the tables you have and what kind of height they have. If they have a height than you need smaller lamps and if they are low in depth you need longer lamps. Architectural firms in Lahore hire the best interior designers in Pakistan to make sure when dealing with clients these designers know what to tell them and how to help.

What designers and people prefer these days are skylights or indirect lightings, these are not straight in the face blinding you completely. These lights produce soft glow all around the places giving ambience and luminance at the same time. They make sure the glow is bright enough and yet soft at the same time to have everyone seated comfortably. Now these lights also come in different colors, shapes and sizes. It all depends how you want the mood set, by this I mean you can have the bulbs in them changed according to the occasion. Dinners, for example need something bright, yellowish but not something dark and mellow a beautiful setting that provides enough light for everyone to eat and talk comfortably. In most cases interior designers in Lahore do bring up some great ideas when it comes to lights and how to place them. There are measurements that have to be met and most architectural design firms in Pakistan can help with that while you are constructing your home.
Remember the lights go with the room, you cannot have your own run about the room when it comes to light, which does mean that we are restricting you to stick to a designer or an architect but if you get professional help, the professionals will always take into consideration your liking and choice.

DIY: The Perfect Candle, Flower/Leaf Arrangement

There are times when I wish I had the time to do a lot of things myself, I love decorating my home even though I am not married. The ideas there are on the internet and the time people spend creating these beautiful items is all so mesmerizing.
I would like to share the idea of a Flower Vase and a Candle Stand all in one. The things you need are simple, vases of different sizes, artificial flowers, candles that are not more than 2 to 4 inches thick and at the end a professional advice from the interior designer in Lahore.. They are not to be very tall but should fit the opening up the vase. Try to get a good adhesive that dries quickly and does not wash away with water. Now comes the part where the magic begins, you start by adding the adhesive at the bottom of the vase attaching the flowers to it. Once they are dry completely you can then start by filling them up with water. Then gently place the candle on top and there you go a perfect arrangement for parties, evening tea or even candle light dinners.
As I live in Lahore, these kind of arrangements can work perfectly with any type of vases, whatever the size and shape as long as they are transparent and will be liked by my family and friends. You can make this up with fall leaves, the idea is quiet simple too here. Just grab a couple of leaves from your garden or any place and any kind of leafs. Cover them up with transparent spray paint which adds the shine and the gloss preserving them for a long time. Let them air dry completely and paste them on the inside of a vase covering it completely. Fill them up with water and place candles and gently let them float. After you are done with the arrangements, consult a professional Pakistani interior designerto give it a final touch. These are some of the interior design ideas that you can implement on your DIY projects and you do not need to spend lots of money for these kind of things. Improvisation and thinking of ways to make something simple
into something beautiful.

Wallpaper Wonder

Thinking of a change with a paint job? Too much hassle and too much work right? Yes well you are right when it comes to it, some people are happy painting their own homes and rooms but some cannot. So far all those who want to just make sure that the work is done as easily as before must read this up. You need a few things to get started, White Paint, a roller brush and the desired wallpaper. You can order the wallpaper in any color and pattern/design.

Once you have all the supplies with you, start with giving a fresh coat to your wall this will help in giving a smooth surface and a spot free wall. Now let the paint dry properly and in the meantime measure up your wall. The thing to keep in mind at this step is whether you want a full wall to wall coating of wall paper or a particular design. I would prefer to go with the Border Wallpaper which runs across the wall from one corner to another. This is a much sophisticated way to have the desired wallpaper; since the wall is white go with a black or ruby red pattern which will stand out. Have the roll ready with the wallpaper glue spread evenly in a thin coat on the back. With the help of a brush start smoothing it out on the wall slowly and steadily.

You will notice that once you move along with it slowly it will attach itself to the wall without any air bubbles in between. Try not to run the brush over and over and let it dry naturally, similarly keep following with the wallpaper until you have the desired part of the wall covered with wallpaper. Once completely dry you can see the affect it will on the entire room, many examples can be seen over the internet where amazing design are being used for seasons, occasions and rooms individually. You do have another option though to save yourself from all this hassle, just simply hire an interior designer and you can save all the trouble.
